Why Apple was sued by The USA? This will break Apple's monopoly

The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Apple, alleging the company maintains an illegal monopoly in the smartphone market. It claims that Apple drives up prices for consumers and developers by selectively imposing contractual restrictions and withholding critical access to prevent competition.

The lawsuit, brought alongside 16 state and district attorneys general, highlights various practices of Apple that allegedly uphold its dominance in the market.

The government accuses Apple of disrupting innovations such as "super apps" and cloud-streaming services that could threaten its position. It also alleges that Apple suppresses the quality of communication with competing platforms and limits the functionality of third-party devices.

This case represents a significant effort to curb anti-competitive practices in the technology sector.

While Apple defends its actions, arguing that the lawsuit would hinder innovation and the freedom to design its products, the US government seeks to protect competition and diversity in the smartphone market. The outcome of the lawsuit could have significant impacts on how the company operates and the market as a whole.
